Interview / Audition Required

Next Stop NY! Acting for TV, Film & Stage was created for those who have a desire and commitment to learn the craft of acting. We interview and audition all of our potential new students. If you would like to prepare and perform a monologue as part of your audition / interview please feel free to do so. It is not required! We like to meet and evaluate all potential new students. We are very selective in accepting new students into our program. Unfortunately everyone is not accepted! Acting Students are only allowed to start at the beginning of each session. Jan-April-July-Sept so schedule your interview today!

Current & 2018 tuition & payment schedule:
Next Stop NY! Acting for TV, Film & Stage classes are ongoing and are offered in three eleven week sessions. Tuition for the 2018- Winter, Spring & Fall session is $425.00. New students add a one time 25.00 registration fee.
Fall Session: $425.00 September - December 11 week session 
Winter Session: $425.00 January - March 11 week session 
Spring Session : $425.00 April - June 11 week session

PAYMENT SCHEDULE UPDATE:

"All New Students are required to Pay in Full, $425.00 plus a one time $25.00 registration fee  if they are accepted!" There is no refund or make up for missed or cancelled classes of any kind! 

Current Students a $225.00 deposit is required two weeks before the new session begins and the remaining $200.00 balance is due by the second day of class! There is no refund or make up for missed or cancelled classes!

Classes cancelled in conjunction with school closing or weather conditions will not be made up. Classes cancelled due to faculty illness /conflicts will be made up at a day and time of our choice.

Summer Session:  2018  New Students add a one time 25.00  registration fee

July - August (8 week session) $300.00  (6 week session) $225.00 Paid in Full

We are offering 3 classes on Saturday.. We need a minimum of 6 students to run the class.

 11-1 pm- (8-13)       130-330 pm (14-18)     330-530 pm  (18-Adult) Limit 12 per class.

The Summer Session is offered in two different session lengths and prices for those with two weeks of vacation time planned.

New  Students full payment is required two weeks before the new session begins.

Brief Description of Classes :    

Acting for TV Film & Stage for Kids 10-13 offers an easy and fun way to learn what acting is and how to play the game. Our technique "TODAY'S TECHNIQUE for TODAY'S ACTOR"gives you a very simple way of working. Gary believes that acting is a work of the imagination. His technique will help you learn how to arrive at your emotions and analyze a scene and to create a believable character in a short period of time - which is required in today's Entertainment Industry. Each class offers an environment where all students will work in every class. The eleven week session consist of Acting Technique. Scene Study, Monologues & Cold Reading Taped Auditions. Gary also adds a Commercials classes when time permits.   

Acting for TV Film & Stage for teens and adults 14-up offers an easy and fun way to learn what acting is and how to play the game. His technique "TODAY'S TECHNIQUE for TODAY'S ACTOR" gives you a very simple way of working. Gary believes that acting is a work of the imagination. This technique will help you learn how to arrive at your emotions and analyze a scene and to create a believable character in a short period of time – which is required in today's Entertainment Industry. Each class offers an environment where all students will work on stage in every class. The eleven week session consist of Acting Technique. Scene Study, Monologues & Cold Reading Taped Auditions. "Acting without Agony: An Alternative to the Method by Don Richardson" (2nd edition) is  required for acting classes ages 14-Adult.

Next Stop NY! Acting for TV, Film & Stage Offers an Eight & Six - Week Summer Session
Our acting students will be matched up for scene work based on their attendance. Students only attending six or less will work on their own Personal Monologues, Cold Reading Taped Auditions or Commercials auditions technique skills so they are not dependent on a scene partner for the Summer Session. It is a shorter schedule before our Fall Session begins and will keep their acting instrument in great shape. The Summer Session is offered in a 8 & 6 week session due to varying vacation schedules.
