Virtual Audition and Self-Tape Class . One on One
On Camera Virtual Auditioning is going to be the normal way for casting directors to hold auditions thru the Breakdowns System. It’s hard to get a callback or book a job unless you get good at this! Most TV and Film casting will be done by Virtual Auditioning or self-tape. Actors are expected to do a good job under tough conditions. These distractions can hurt your audition. An uncomfortable environment, audition pressure and nerves. Learn the dos and don’ts of Virtual and Self-Tape auditions This class we help you get more comfortable so you can do your best work at your auditions! Audition Script sent to you 2 days before taping. We will record your Audition and play back then reshoot with adjustments. Cost is $60.00 for a 1 HR Class to be scheduled. Day & Time TBD
Acting Workshop 101 "How to Get started as an Actor in the Acting Business" One on One in person
A MUST specialty one on one class for adults and children who want to get started and break into the entertainment business! Learn about Photos, Resumes, Unions, Agents, Finding Auditions and the Working permits & Trust Funds needed for minors. How to find an agent when the time is right and how to go about doing it! Understanding the different options of finding auditions in order to submit your photos and resume to casting directors for Film, TV, Theatre, and Student Films. Learn how to be proactive in your own career! I will advise you on building your resume and will answer all your questions and concerns. Commercial Acting Technique: One on One in person To develop the actor's commercial skills and personality. Actors will learn commercial techniques that will make them competitive. We will focus on dialogue, improvisational and some group scene auditions. Actors will learn about storyboards and to read from cue cards. Actors will learn product handling, reaction work, camera technique and hitting marks. Improvisation techniques that will help them when there is no scripted commercial dialogue, which is very useful in today's market. Gary's training in commercials acting and improvisation comes from an amazing professional source! Gary's teacher and friend Jeff Gerrard, who owns Jeff Gerrard Casting in Los Angeles since 1983 and has cast over 3,500 commercials!
